Karl is the Chief Financial Officer & Head of Corporate Strategy at Symple Loans – a marketplace lending company using sophisticated digital lending technologies and global best practices to offer Australians better, faster, easier and more affordable personal loans.In this role, Karl leads Symple’s financial planning, financial control and financial risk management activities. He is also responsible for the company’s securitization program, treasury and corporate development functions. Karl brings nearly two decades of financial services experience to the Symple team. He joined Symple after seven years at ANZ where he held senior leadership roles including General Manager of Credit Cards & Personal Lending, Head of Product Development, Transformation & Insights, and Senior Manager within the bank’s Group Strategy team. He has also held roles at Bain & Company in Australia, Partners Capital and Merrill Lynch in the UK.
