In my current role as Maintenance Control Manager, I am responsible for ensuring seamless defect rectification, optimizing maintenance planning, and overseeing asset and resource management. I excel at stakeholder engagement, fostering collaboration across teams to deliver operational excellence. A key aspect of my role involves providing senior management with accurate and actionable updates on fleet status, enabling informed decision-making and strategic planning.

Directly responsible for the career development and welfare management of 30 engineers, whilst indirectly managing a larger engineering team of over 60 personnel, providing maintenance support to a squadron of state-of-the-art military helicopters. - Led a team of 23 engineers in the provision of Military Aid to Civilian Authorities in the Midlands, Northern England and Scotland, in challenging circumstances during the Covid-19 pandemic, resulting in the award of 2021 REME Engineering Team of the Year.- Transformed organisational engineering processes, leading to a reduction in deployment preparation time of over 25% and technical training time by 50%, from 12 to 6 months. Subsequently recognised as the best training package across Army Aviation. - Managed resources, risk and performance to achieve a demanding operational output both in the UK and overseas.- Conducted the evaluation and restructure of an 11-week maintenance supervisor programme, in order to align training with organisational goals. Overcame initial resistance and departmental differences, liaised regularly with all key stakeholders. Resulting in a reduction in trainer requirement of 40%, whilst increasing annual course output from 72 to 128 trained supervisors, an increase of 78% per year.

Directed the maintenance strategy of 6 state-of-the-art military helicopters, achieved through the planning and prioritising of preventative and corrective maintenance, and effective management of engineers, support equipment and demanding time constraints, leading to an increase in asset availability.- Conducted effective stakeholder management by providing daily production briefs to the head of engineering, non-technical leadership and senior client representatives, detailing asset availability, ongoing maintenance activities and engineering issues identified as a concern.- Utilised reliability centred maintenance systems and wear debris monitoring techniques to monitor critical components and systems, in order to maintain minimum asset availability levels and predict early failure within aircraft components.

- Supervised technicians during preventative maintenance activities, and used root cause analysis to identify and rectify mechanical and electrical faults, in order to provide serviceable aircraft to support the Squadron’s flying requirement. - Utilised reliability centred maintenance systems, wear debris monitoring techniques and health usage monitoring systems to monitor critical components and systems, in order to maintain minimum maintenance levels and predict early failure within aircraft components.- Identified personal areas for improvement, trade progression and professional development opportunities for all personnel within the team.

Conducted corrective and preventative maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, transmission, propulsion and fuel systems on state-of-the-art military aircraft, both in the UK and austere environments whilst deployed overseas.- Member of the Wildcat Implementation Team, assisting in the delivery of a new rotary platform into service.- Adhered to stringent COSHH and health and safety legislation, to ensure all work was completed to the highest standard.
