My last 5 years have been all about helping the Architecture/Engineering/Construction (AEC) domain leverage AI/ML in the engineering workflows. My 4th major domain in 40 years chasing AI/ML - DoD, Finance, Industrial Ag, and Engineering. KCI's Bryx marketplace (gobryx.com) is a model-as-a-service offering with multiple engineering applications in AI, machine vision, and large-scale compute. I'm super proud to be part of the team that delivered all of these applications into production in under a year. Shout out to the great partners over @Roboflow for their fantastic vision model MLOpns environment as well as @Comet for general purpose MLOpns and an exciting new LLM building capability.A career started in algebraic optimization, to multi-attribute utility theory (MAUT), rule-based inference (with real inference engines guys!), and finishing up with exciting apps in vision, distributed processing, photogrammetry, reinforcement learning, LLM's, RAG's, agents and on and on - three distinct eras of AI/ML work brought to commercial applications.
