Originally started as a meetup, the annual SVVR Conference & Expo (now in its 4th year) has grown into the world's largest professional conference for the Virtual Reality industry. SVVR continues to host monthly meetup's in Silicon Valley, and is still the world's largest and longest-running VR Meetup group.

I joined Teliris as one the very first employees. I was heavily involved in the design of all Teliris telepresence systems from day one. Over the years I repeatedly reinvented myself and acquired the skills necessary to take on new roles as our business expanded and our product lines evolved.* Drove the creation of Teliris Research Labs, an R&D group focused on exploring applying technologies to create immersive telepresence experiences.* Actively participated in the sales process. Personally demonstrated prototypes of new products to prospects, typically C-level executives from fortune 500 companies.* Led the development of the InterAct Touchtable, the first multitouch collaboration platform for telepresence environments.* Led the development of the InterAct Easel, and virtual whiteboarding solution for telepresence environments. * Acted as the company-wide subject matter expert on collaboration tools for telepresence environments.* Acted as lead user experience designer (UXD)* Worked with patent attorneys to identify protectable IP and file several patents related to telepresence and collaboration tools for telepresence environments. * Created and deployed a call provisioning engine for the VNOC (video network operations center) to remotely connect and manage telepresence rooms worldwide.* Created the Virtual Vectoring algorithm to allow disparate telepresence systems to connect in multipoint calls while maintaining eye contact and spatial relationships across multiple physical locations.* Designed and programmed AMX room control systems integrating dozens of devices using RS-232, SNMP, and low-voltage relays, including customer-facing user interfaces for in-room touch panels.* Developed creative, low-cost solutions for testing end-to-end latency of video encoders, decoders, cameras and displays.* Designed, configured, and deploying ATM network backbone switches and IP routers connecting the US and sites across Europe.

* Video Network Engineer focused on Video On Demand and ISDN, IP and ATM based Video Conferencing using H.320/H.323/H.310/H.321 protocols * Deployed, configured, and managed video gateways and multi-point control units (MCUs) for multi-point video conferences. * Designed and configured desktop video conferencing and MPEG-1 video on demand solutions for SIAC/New York Stock Exchange testbed of the trading floor of the future using ISDN, IP, and cell-switched ATM (asynchronous transfer mode) networks.
