The UF Innovate | Accelerate team leverages the world-class capabilities of the university of Florida's research and technology commercialization prowess and combines it with programming, resources, and networking opportunities designed to support dynamic startups and growth companies. This includes overseeing the administration and operations of two world-class, award-winning facilities – the UF Innovate | Sid Martin Biotech and the UF Innovate| Hub and serving the University's commercialization interests with Progress Park and the Gainesville Innovation District.

The NIIP is a nationally recognized best in class and comprehensive entrepreneurship resource center dedicated to accelerating the growth and development of innovative businesses and increasing the likelihood of their success. For over 18 years, the NIIP has fostered an entrepreneurial community that aligns and leverages the four pillars of venture success – capital , talent, Workplaces and Networks. Since its designation as a certified technology park by Indiana state statute, the NIIC’s client companies have generated over $81.5 million in payroll, produced over 1,358 full-time equivalent employees, launched nearly 350 products, applied for or been issued over 134 US patents, and secured over $42 million in research grants and $32.5 in third party outside investment. Today, with nearly 200 knowledge workers on our Innovation Park Campus, the NIIP is the region’s largest and most diverse entrepreneurial ecosystem, in our region.The NIIP is a non-profit, community-based resource center that catalyzes the growth and development of innovative companies in Northeast Indiana, thereby diversifying, improving, and growing the region's economy and enhancing our community's vitality.I served as president/CEO since the inception of the organization--October 16, 2000.
