My academic background is in engineering, statistics, and computer science. I started my career in oil and gas as an Instrument Mechanic. I went back to school and earned an engineering degree, a masters in data science, a doctorate in spatial statistics. My first professional role in oil and gas was as a geomodeller. I quickly moved to flow simulation and reservoir engineering on mostly conventional assets around the world. Recently, because of the heightened interest in data science, I have been applying data science and machine learning (including artificial neural nets) to geosciences on unconventional assets, specifically the Montney. Exploitation efforts on unconventionals offers an unparalled abundance of data and opportunites to generate value. I have traversed multiple disciplines, but my focus is unwaivering: apply the tools of data science to oil and gas sector data and unlock and deliver value.
