Karl Pichler is currently the Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer and a member of the Board of Directors for Sourceability Global Holdings, the private equity owned parent of Sourceability, a global electronic components distributor. Mr. Pichler brings more than 25 years of extensive experience as company builder, senior executive and public company CFO, consultant, investor and educator. Since 2017, Mr. Pichler is involved in numerous private equity-related investments, both as a passive LP and in various active roles at Scaleworks in San Antonio, and now at Sourceability. He is the former CFO of Rackspace in San Antonio, TX. During his 12-year tenure, Rackspace grew from $80m in Revenues to over $2bn, went public on the New York Stock Exchange in 2008 (NYSE: RAX) and was ultimately sold to Apollo Global Asset Management in 2016. Mr. Pichler held multiple leadership roles within the company both in the US and in Europe and was the company’s Chief Financial Officer from April 2011 to May 2017. Before Rackspace, he was a practice leader and consultant with Stern Stewart & Co in New York and Munich, advising public and private companies on various corporate finance matters, and on the implementation and use of EVA®-based management and incentive compensation systems.Throughout his career, he dedicated himself to higher education efforts through teaching engagements and curricular development work. He was a distinguished professor at Trinity University in San Antonio and a visiting professor at the University of Bern in Switzerland.Mr. Pichler received his M.Sc. degree in Finance (magna cum laude) from the University of Bern, Switzerland and holds several professional designations (CFA, CIPM, CTP). He lives with his wife and three daughters in San Antonio, TX.
