Mr. Qin is a highly experienced executive in global business development, partnership & commercialization in biopharmaceuticals. He has more than 25 years of management experience at leading biotech, specialty pharma companies and top medical institutions. Highly accomplished in striking ventures and corporate alliances, Mr. Qin has negotiated and closed over 25 commercial transactions with many global health care organizations including Pfizer, Eli Lilly, BMS, Myriad Genetics, Millennium, Mentor and Bausch Lomb, etc. Mr. Qin had also served in senior management positions at a number of life science organizations. In the past, Mr. Qin had served as CBO&COO at MediBoston Biosciences. Mr. Qin was Consulting Vice President of Commercialization at Nanobiosym Diagnostic, Inc (Cambridge, MA), responsible for commercial operation of its Biopharma product lines. From 2005-2007, Mr. Qin was the Director of Business Development at Genzyme (Sanofi). As the chief negotiator, he was instrumental in forming 2 global partnerships at Genzyme, one in dermatology and one in post-surgical management. Before Genzyme, Mr. Qin was Sr. Director, Business Development at Control Delivery Systems, now Eyepoint Pharmaceuticals, a specialty pharmaceutical company based in Watertown, MA. At CDS, Mr. Qin was fully responsible for new product planning and corporate alliances. He played critical roles in establishing and managing CDS’s commercial alliances in ophthalmology & oncology. Mr. Qin also served on the Steering Committee of CDS’s alliance program with Bausch & Lomb. Prior to his tenure at CDS, Mr. Qin spent 6 years at MD Anderson Cancer Center (Houston, TX), lastly served as Director, Technology Transfer. Under his direction, his office managed MD Anderson’s entire IP portfolio, technology licensing and venture start-ups.
