Since joining SMBC I have been involved in large enterprise wide implementations.Major achievements;Initially to decouple an install that contained Webex, Jabber and Citrix Workspace working closely with JRI-A who provide IT Services to SMBC.Testing and planning were key and with moving goalposts we were able to deliver with no impact to the users.Logic was added so that it would work with both SCCM and Intune so that we are able to maintain one implementation for both build and upgrades.I was able to tidy some incredibly old versions as well as discontinued products still being deployed enterprise wide in both EMEA and NA uninstalling them from exiting machines.I managed the Cisco Webex and Webex VDI Plugin bi monthly updates deploying across both regions, arranging testing and signoff by the Unified Comms team to ensure specific compatibilities with a regulated requirement for call recording.Upgrade of the Imprivata OneSign Agent to a newer version having multiple versions across our EMEA and NA environments, a challenging task to get all endpoints upgraded to a consistent version. I implemented a strategy that would not adversely affect the business and was able to get the endpoints upgraded safely and quickly.There was a lot of skepticism around this work as it had been abandoned during lockdown due to issues seen on endpoints where users were being locked out of their machines.Through a careful process of testing various scenarios I was able to carry out the implementation with no such side effects and we had no reports of issues due to the imprivata upgrade.As part of this work I actually identified the root cause of an issue the desktop team have had where laptop builds were not completing successfully and was able to work with the Platform team to get the Laptop / Desktop build images changed to resolve this issue.There have been plenty of AppV, SCCM and Citrix layers delivered and maintained too including critical App updates!
