Conducted a Proof of Concept about the deployment of a new virtualization solution• Researched leading virtualization solutions and prepared a presentation in which each solution was presented. • Compared the different solutions features with VMware ESXi: "Online VMotion cross clusters, Online Storage VMotion..."• Picked 2 solutions based on several criteria: Cost, Features and capabilities offered by the solution, Compatibility with other technologies...• Installed the picked solutions and tested their capabilities.• Created several clusters and documented the installation/configuration. • Checked the compatibility of the solution with NIMBLE SAN storage.• Tested a migration of a VM from VMWare to the new solution. Developed a python script that takes a list of virtual machines as input, converts them to the correct format and migrate them to the new solution with no data or configuration loss.
