For more than 32 years, I have tried cases to juries, courts, and arbitrators in state and federal courts throughout the U.S. and before domestic and international arbitral tribunals. Many of my cases involve complex transactions in the energy industry, including international energy investments, joint ventures, gas and power trading and marketing, and the development, acquisition, sale, and ownership of oil, gas, renewable energy, and power assets. I also handle cases involving corporate, LLC, and partnership governance, mergers and acquisitions, finance, and shareholder rights. I also have significant experience litigating antitrust claims. I have been recognized in the areas of business litigation, alternative dispute resolution, and antitrust in The Best Lawyers in America® and have been recognized by the Best Lawyers' 2014-15 as Houston Antitrust Law "Lawyer of the Year." I am active in the Houston community, having Chaired the Board of the Houston Bar Foundation and the Houston Ballet Foundation and served on the Central Houston Board of Directors. In my spare time, I am an avid cyclist, both road and mountain.
