Enspiral Dev Academy is an intensive 15 week web development course with a huge focus on core/soft/human skills.I came to Dev Academy with a strong coding foundation having already done a degree in computer science at university. During the first 5 weeks we learned the foundations of being a web developer. While others were wrapping their heads around javascript, I was learning about emotional intelligence, neuroplasticity and growth mindset and time management. Perhaps most importantly I spent the time to think about my values and identity and got plenty of practice writing about it and the other topics.For the rest of the course we learned the pieces needed to make a website in React. Each week we learned a new piece and created a project in groups over one day that incorporated all the pieces we had done so far. We also covered a new human skills topic which we practised, along with what we learned in foundations, during peer programming exercises and the projects mentioned earlier.
