CtF aims to build stronger communities through education, dialogue and demonstration projects. I'm particularly attracted to CtF's aim to be a 'living laboratory'. Topics include the size, scope and value of the nonprofit (or third/voluntary sector); labour market information; civil society and engagement; capacity building the third.

After standing down from the board of Charity Bank, I'm delighted to continue volunteering for this fantastic organisation by serving on the credit committee as an advisor.

One of a number of Non-Exec Director's with voluntary sector experience and knowledge, I helped Charity Bank achieve its ambitious aims to connect people who want their money to do some good with voluntary organisations who want to achieve a greater impact.

I'm a trustee for St Albans CVS, where as part of the board I help shape the strategy and direction of the organisation that is the lead body for volunteering and voluntary organisations in St Albans.

In addition to my day job I am an Honorary Senior Visiting Fellow at Cass Business School's Centre for Charity Effectiveness. I work here predominantly with Professor Jenny Harrow, who is also the co-director of the Centre for Charitable Giving and Philanthropy. I'm one of the 'co-investigators' at the Centre, which basically means I have an interest in.

I'm a co-investigator at the ESRC Research Centre for Charitable Giving and Philanthropy (CGAP), along with Professors Jenny Harrow, Ian Bruce, Cathy Pharoah and Stephen P. Osbourne. The Centre includes academics based at other universities: Kent (Beth Breeze and Ian Wilkinson), Southampton (John Mohan) and Strathclyde (Eleanor Shaw).We're trying to build.

I was a trustee at Charities Evaluation Services (CES), where I learnt a huge amount from excellent people (trustees and paid staff). Responsibilities included chairing the risk management committee and for a period I was vice-Chair.
