Manages The SteerShop, HeiferShop, SireShop, DonorShop, ShowLamb Shop, and ShowGoat Shop.

My responsibilities include; managing social media pages, writing blog articles, posting agriculture and related information, answering questions about agriculture, and modeling Raised in a Barn apparel.

I believe I played an important role in the research center's goal of creating a strain of midge resistant wheat. Some of my responsibilities included travel to nine different locations to check and change sticky board traps and replace them with new traps to track the number of midge affecting that field based on the wheat variety and what it had been sprayed with. I also took sweep net samples and counted the results and record the findings onto a web based system. I cleaned grain samples and ran moisture and protein content tests to determine wheat quality.I utilized my computer skills to enter the data from the research, also taking heading notes for yield and harvest dates. This has increased my skills as I had to learn how to meticulously follow experiment procedure as well as how to properly utilize the tools at hand. Not only did I go off-site but, I also spent a lot of time monitoring heights in the experiment plots on site and striped rust observation to determine side affects when choosing certain varieties and chemical applications. Finally I worked with local producers monitoring their fields so not only did the research we were conducting benefit us but the producer and his crop. I have increased my knowledge of Agriscience in every way possible. I learned how to follow research and data protocol, work with customers and improve my sales and service abilities. I also became a functional member of a team to complete the task at hand and work independently.
