CurrentMentor for Mentorship Intern Program, funded by the California Workforce Initiative program, where I mentor college-level students to be care coordinators in the behavioral health field.Provided training and monitored applications to Mentees on topics such as:Compliance and confidentiality and patient rights. Evidence-based practices include utilizing and understanding the ACT model of care in the FSP program and the importance and impact of peer and family services. Understanding and strategies in building rapport and maintaining appropriate and professional boundaries. Strategies for performing psychosocial rehabilitation services for patients, both individual services and group services.Determination of appropriate linkage to resources within the county care system, including substance use services, housing, and primary care based on patient needs. Education of basic funding and system of care models. training on clinical documentation and billing through the use of electronic health records. Additionally, I mentor various students on life and management topics such as job development, academic and goal planning, time management, work-life balance, and the risk of burnout.
