• Assists in planning, writing protocols, and conducting research to examine the presence of microplastics in the Potomac River and Anacostia River watersheds.• Performs fieldwork and necessary wet lab techniques, including the utilization of meters to conduct water quality sampling and monitoring as well as the examination of water samples using a Leica m80 Fluorescent Microscope.• Monitors the pH, salinity, dissolved oxygen, temperature, conductivity, and turbidity levels of nine sampling locations along both the Potomac River and Rock Creek Park.• Supports the Anacostia Riverkeeper's Clean Rivers Project in monitoring and reducing pollution from combined sewer outflows (CSOs) into the District’s waterways.

Women and Youth Supporting Eachother (WYSE) is a national, curriculum-based afterschool mentorship program for young women, female, and non-binary students in the 7th and 8th grades. Each week, GW undergraduates mentor students at a local DCPS middle school with a mission to empower young women by providing the resources and support necessary to make positive life choices and create community change. As Executive Director:• Organizes fellow Executive Board members, plans and runs weekly meetings, communicates with the National WYSE Board, contacts both middle school site coordinators, trains GW mentors each semester, arranges deliverables (i.e. annual MOUs, background checks, permission slips, and contracts), and attends National Leadership Conferences with fellow WYSE branches.

• Provided support and assistance for clinical care to promote the students' development as healthy individuals• Took patients' vitals, administered COVID-19 nasal PCR tests, documented, and worked in the Health Services Electronic Health Records system, tended to patients' needs including meal orders and delivery, and assisted with front desk administrative needs

• Assisted in wet lab research to identify mutations responsible for genetic diseases such as Facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy (FSHD) and Disorders of Sex Development (DSD)• Practiced standard wet lab procedures such as DNA extractions and quantifications, gel electrophoresis, DNA labeling, genome assembly, and variant calling
