Worked as a Field Division Leader for the Joplin Relief Task Force in supervising over 30,000 volunteers for over 100,000 volunteer hours during the month following the devastating tornado.

Member of the obstetric emergency team. Worked with a team of doctors and medical students in rural Ugandan on issues surrounding emergency Obstetrics at both the community and regional level. Presented workshops on safe birthing to local communities, and helped create workshops and manuals for the uses of medical equipment as well as to diagnoses critical obstetric and infant medical conditions in rural hospitals.
