Start small and work your way to developing more content weekly, for example, versus monthly. 2. Know Your Audience. Develop audience personas/avatars so you have a clear picture of who your creating content for — speak their language and hang out online where they do. Master that social channel (or two) really well before expanding to others. 3. Create a Content Mix. The content mix consists of brand elements and content points that fall into content buckets around curated content, owned content, sales/promotions. Posting regularly is important but only if it's attached to measurable goals. It is vital that you have a social media manual that outlines both short term and long term goals to properly leverage social media throughout your marketing process including, bringing a prospect from discovering your company or brand, considering your solutions, and ultimately making the decision to buy.
