To perform administrative support functions necessary for efficient station operations.Assists customers by answering questions, resolving problems via telephone inquiry or over the counter; responds to customer inquires on basic features of service and takes information for pick-ups. Communicates service features including active promotion and selling services to customers.Traces packages and informs customer and customer service department of disposition.Types or otherwise prepares various reports. Operates necessary office machines in performance of duties. Maintains supply and inventory of station materials.Maintains and audits airbills, records and files; prepares vendor bills for management authorization.Performs monetary transactions involving cash, credit cards and checks.Assists manager in providing training information to location personnel as necessary; acts as dispatcher and/or courier as required.Enters data into computer terminal; datacomms pertinent information such as mis-sorts and overgoods to the regional office and hq as appropriate. Operates COSMOS, timekeeping, and revenue systems including input (i.e., airbill data, time cards, package traces) and generates reports.Prepares manifests and necessary documentation for international flights which include assembling manifests and all necessary paperwork for customs purposes.Enters air waybills into COSMOS/KIAC computer system, which includes all information supplied on air way bill charges, etc.Checks all paperwork before releasing freight to trucking companies. Checks for customs clearance paperwork, delivery order pick-up from broker and any other pertinent documents necessary to pick up shipment.Transports customs paperwork to and from customs facilities throughout all shifts.
