I am a freelance popular music podcast host, presenter, published author, lecturer and researcher. I have taught all over the UK and in Nashville, TN.I produce and host The Songs Are Spells Podcast with major music industry guests, described by Sony Music as "The magic version of Song Exploder". As a freelance academic, I am a course coordinator and lead on modules such as Artist Development and PR, Sound and Culture and Popular Music Debates with a special interest in music history.My PhD from University of Birmingham explored the enduring format of vinyl with a comprehensive understanding of popular culture and fan-engagement. One chapter is published by Routledge Music in the Handbook of Womens Work in Music.I am a regular panel speaker and conference presenter on all things vinyl including a recent event with IDLES at BIMM London and at Making Vinyl, Nashville, with T Bone Burnett.
