Uday works at Westinghouse air brake technologies (an S&P 500 company) in the arena of transformative design and manufacturing solutions in the freight and transit business. Previously he has worked as the Vice President of engineering leading global engineering product development, research and applications engineering helping manage and organize global engineering across 6 product lines and 300+ product categories over a diverse portfolio of Mechanical rotary seals, Mechanical packing, Industrial Lubricants, Industrial Coatings, Spring energized seals and Engineered Polymer seals. Prior to this role Uday worked as a Principal Engineer-Chief Engineering for General Electric in the Digital Industrial Transportation business. In this role he enjoyed working on digital twin methodologies for non-metallic component life prediction, composite materials, additive manufacturing, coatings and advanced polymeric matrix composite engineered component development. Additionally he worked on developing strategic sourcing supplier expertise and global network with a innovation, patenting, multi generational product planning focus. In this role Uday tackled complex reliability projects as a DFR, DFSS, DMAIC practitioner.Prior to this role Uday worked at ARDL, Inc. as a Business Development Manager, Project Manager and Staff Engineer in the area of non-metallic engineered polymeric component problem solving consulting and test services. He holds 5 US Patents and 10 published scientific articles on the subject of tires, automotive, aerospace, medical products and predictive materials research and over 20 years of industrial experience. Uday has a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering and a Master’s from the College of Polymer Science and Polymer Engineering from the University of Akron, Ohio.
