I am privileged to work at the Astrophysics and Space Science Research Group of the University of Nairobi as a researcher in the fascinating field of quantum computing.My journey in research began with a focus on Continuous Variable Quantum Computing (CVQE). Building upon this foundation, I delved into quantum simulations using the Variational Quantum Eigensolver (VQE) algorithm, leveraging IBM Qiskit to gain valuable insights into quantum algorithms and their performance.I had the incredible opportunity to explore the intricate realm of quantum communication, with a particular emphasis on Quantum Repeaters. My research involved both the design and implementation aspects of these essential components, aiming to enhance the transmission of quantum information over long distances by exploiting quantum entanglement purification techniques.Currently, my research is centered around the critical area of quantum error correction. As we move closer to practical quantum computing, mitigating errors becomes crucial, and I am deeply invested in discovering novel error correction techniques to make quantum computation more reliable and scalable.Additionally, I have embarked on an exciting exploration of quantum mechanical paradoxes, seeking a deeper understanding of the fundamental nature of quantum mechanics and its implications for future quantum technologies.
