About Karol P.

I am a life-long technology enthusiast, fueling my technological cravings throughout my life. I am very motivated and task-driven and just love coding and everything related to computers in general. I have been interested in computers for as long as I remember and have always tried to extend my expertise in the subject. To follow this dream I obtained my Master of Informatics at the University of Edinburgh. I have extensive practical experience in systems administration, combined with strong programming skills both for desktop applications in languages that include C/C++, Java, Python and more, as well as web content development (PHP, HTML/JS/CSS, SQL). I've been involved in software development and systems administration for over 10 years. I also have extensive server provisioning, automation and configuration management experience.

    In this role I managed the DevOps workload for the entire development team of a cryptofinance startup, building CI and CD infrastructure, writing automation scripts, deploying servers, as well as debugging the application code and writing bugfixes, monitoring the services, defining the architecture and sysadmin duties. I successfully designed and deployed the entire stack for a high-volume instant transaction system. Moreover, I was in charge of migrating the infrastructure from bare metal to virtualized, automated setup based on KVM and Foreman, and eventually to AWS.
