Enterprise Ireland is the government agency responsible for the development and promotion of the indigenous business sector. The agency's primary objective is to accelerate the development of world-class Irish companies. Based in the New York office with responsibity for Education I work with: - All Irish Higher Level Institutions targeting North America under the under the umbrella brand 'Education in Ireland'. I support the development and implementation of their growth plans for the region;- A portfolio of E-Learning and Ed Tech clients focussed on the US.

Dublin

Based in the Dublin head quarters and as a member of the EI Scaling Division I was responsible for a diverse portfolio of high potential, well established companies focused on growing into international companies of scale. In this role, I supported Irish companies via Enterprise Ireland financial and development programmes as well as engaging with individual client companies to develop short, medium and long term strategies.

In this role I was responsible for leading a team of legal professionals whose role it was to negotiate and complete Enterprise Ireland’s equity investments. Post investment transactions including mergers and acquisitions, further funding rounds etc. were also handled by this team. This role also included an active involvement in the development and execution of Enterprise Ireland’s investment policy.

This was an operational role consisting of the negotiation and completion of equity investments and handling shareholder consent issues as they arose.
