Wealth Credit Management (WCM) at Citi is a newly formed business line to provide integrated end to end credit underwriting, transaction, and portfolio management in partnership with all the origination businesses of the Private Bank and Wealth Management of Citi.In this role I will be responsible to pro-actively support and contribute to work with various support functions to come up processes which will improve client experience and enhance control environment and simplify current processes.

As a Loan Manager I was responsible for accomplishing the results through the management of professional teams and coordination of the activities with various counterparties involved in the end-to-end process. I was in charge of volume, quality, timeliness and delivery of end results of an area. The role embraced providing day-to-day loan transactional processing including an authorisation of a data inputted into decicates systems, booking cash transactions and making payments, performing loan reconciliations, inputting general ledger entries, conducting complex calculations and supporting team members in reviewing complex loan documentation. Service was provided for the Western Europe and a few Middle East branches.I had full management oversight of a team of 30 people, which included management of people, budget planning, performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations, also long and short term staff planning. In addition to the business as usual activities, I was acting as a facilitator of the Operational Excellence training, mandatory to all of the various operations junior employees. Aim of the training was to ensure the code of conduct along with best practices are widely known to the staff and applied whenever possible.Complexity of the role along with potential impact to the company reputation required from me to be accountable, ethical, results oriented, trust worthy and credible.

I was responsible for team and process management and cooperation with various stakeholders collaborating with the team on timely releasing transactions exceeding approved credit lines. The key objective of the Limit Monitoring Team was performing intraday limit monitoring function, including approving excesses above intraday clearing limits performed in accordance to the local policies and approved thresholds and requesting Credit Officers approvals for the amounts exceeding agreed thresholds. Timely releasing of cash and securities transactions held due to an insufficient limit and liaising with various teams in order to establish details supporting an increase of credit limits. Team was acting within the Follow the Sun model monitoring mainly European branches. While acting as a manager, in addition to the business as usual activities.

I was mainly responsible for archiving an incoming documentation, keeping it in order in the central archive and in the system used by the Operations team to act against the received documentation. My daily duties also included registration of an incoming enforcement notes.
