I had the privilege of guiding two exceptionally ambitious and talented individuals in the LT Big Brother program through the initial stages of business idea assessment and subsequent development. Notably, these mentees hailed from non-business-related backgrounds, mainly in IT and engineering. Despite their non-business backgrounds, we successfully identified effective strategies to propel and explore the projects forward.

Lithuanian Airports are managing three airports VNO, KUN, PLQ, employing 600 employees.I am taking part in company-wide strategic investment decisions for all three airports as well as overseeing safe, efficient and passenger-friendly operations at KUN. I am responsible for KUN long-term infrastructure development related to terminal expansion, operations model, MRO business development. I enjoy taking part in projects related to MRO, flight, and revenue development.Through my years of airport management, the airport has gone through various optimization processes related to personnel management, budgeting and execution. Planning of process has put as a standard practice to the most relevant activities. Most important projects:- The airport has increased passenger volumes by 20 percent while increasing passenger experience while keeping the same number of employees. In fact, we have been able to increase passenger satisfaction at KUN to the highest level off all airports during the pandemic. - We have digged further to optimise Basic operational model where each employee is operating on the multi-role model and allows the most efficient utilization of the working hours. - Several years of consistent effort has allowed to sign a new land lease with aircraft painting company MAAS Aviation. Aircraft painting has been added as a new capability in the Lithuanian MRO market, as well has increased the number of MRO bays at the airport by 30 percent. Beyond that, I have gladly contributed to the development of engineering studies and student attraction related to MRO industry, resulting in increased aviation and non-aviation incomes. - Finished airport terminal expansion design, which is aimed at increasing passenger capacity by 100 percent. - The airport has adopted non-standard parking procedures to accommodate more aircraft at the apron than the airport has stands, resulting in parking on taxiways and increased aviation incomes.

My main responsibilities are the development of the project pipeline, project management and development of aviation business infrastructure in Lithuania. I have successfully initiated and supported the changes at Lithuanian education system to better address MRO industry needs for qualified personnel graduation from the vocational training schools and universities. I am involved in hangarage and financial support measure development, which is targetted to foreign and Lithuanian MRO company development. Initiated legislation changes have facilitated fast-track process for aviation engineers and technician migration into EU.
