Karol Rose is a pioneer in the area of work-life and flexibility effectiveness and is the author of six books, including: The Agile Workforce and Agile Workplace: The New Normal, (Working Mother Media/Bonnier, October 2011) and Work-Life Effectiveness: Bottom-Line Strategies for Today's Workforce (WorldatWork, 2006). She has consulted with many Fortune 100 companies, was the Director of Work-Family Initiatives and Training at TimeWarner, a Partner at PwC in charge of the work-life practice, and developer of many 'firsts' in the industry. She created one of the first onsite back-up emergency child care centers and led a consortium of 13 major corporations to develop one of the first in home emergency child care services in the country, designed and conducted work-life and flexible work training for the country of Singapore's launch of its work/family initiative, wrote the first how-to work/life book declared the 'bible' in the industry, and coined the term 'work-life effectiveness', Karol developed FORTUNE magazine's annual Work-Life and Human Capital special features and is a frequent presenter at national conferences. As Principal, Advisory Services, at FlexPaths, Karol led the company's consulting practice, focused on thought leadership, business development and design and sales of the company’s software products, including 'Educate' (a configurable portal for centralizing and communicating consistent, legally-compliant flexible working policies, tools and resources) in addition to consulting with clients to help them create a more flexible culture.Specialties include: assessing, designing, implementing, evaluating and marketing innovative workplace and workforce flexibility initiatives; designing and conducting management/employee training; analyzing business/employee needs and creating appropriate responses; developing communication and HR technology product solutions.
