worked as an administrative officer at a number of military bases throughout the UK. Primarily undertaking administrative support of military colleagues in their role within the Armed Forces. Also within this period worked for HM Customs and Excise Probate Office.From Jan 1996 worked in a number of civil service administrative roles within the Defence Housing Executive, involved in the management and allocation of married quarters to eligible servicemen and their families. A demanding role requiring tact and diplomacy especially when dealing with the hierarchial structure of the Armed Forces. These attributes were tested when dealing with the families of those servicemen detached for long periods away from their homes, spouses and children. Worked closely with a a variety of social services, usually when housing eligibility ceased due to various reasons, divorce, end of service or death of service personnel. In addition to this dealt with civiliam contractors for maintenance of properties, landlords for the rehousing of personnel whose eligibility for serice housing has expired.
