• Develop, manage and coordinate the City’s wellness initiative program; Commit to Wellness, by establishing and implementing a comprehensive wellness program to improve employee health and well being• Remain current on local, state, and federal mandates in regards to wellness programming requirements and guidelines• Utilize networking opportunities to learn of local wellness trends and developments • Negotiate, prepare, and analyze wellness budget to ensure wellness programming meets the City and employees’ needs • Develop wellness continuation programs for City employees by negotiating contracts with outside consultants, instructors and providers• Work in partnership with the City’s Health Care Advisor and Benefits Coordinator to create programs unifying the City’s benefits, employee clinic and wellness visions and goals • Deliver presentations regarding wellness programming and benefits to City employees • Answer employee/retiree questions and claims issues regarding City sponsored benefits• Assist employees with pre-retirement inquiries, completing retirement paperwork, and retiree benefit elections • Oversee the City’s Short Term Disability and Long Term Disability programs
