Led grant-related services as part of an integrated fund development consulting team for multiple nonprofit and government sector clients with areas of focus including public transportation, public health, substance use recovery, healthcare, senior services higher education, special education, and social services. Identified opportunities, wrote, and helped manage clients' annual grant-related funding efforts, including federal, state, and local; corporate and private foundation grants. Assisted clients with program design, evaluation design, budgeting, and project reporting. Convened stakeholders and facilitated partner coordination across agencies. Depending on a client's particular contract, involvement ranged from a veritable member of client staff, responsible for the entire grants pipeline; to a narrower focus on grant opportunity research. Assisted new clients in becoming "grant ready," by helping them align grant funding goals with the organization's strategic plan, then ensuring all typical grant documentation was in-place and updated. In recent years between 66-75% of client applications received funding. This totaled approximately $10 million in 2020 alone.

Researched opportunities and wrote grant applications for nonprofits; developed programs, case statements and grant proposals. Also offered website development, maintenance and content creation; social media services; print and electronic newsletter editing and production; print and e-publications; copy editing; and graphic design services, including referring clients to top-notch services beyond our scope.

Provided part-time bookkeeping using Quickbooks Online; processed payroll and union dues; payed bills; and maintained business records.

Managed multiple client accounts simultaneously, most of which included annual strategic marketing planning, creative concept development, execution of media and direct mail campaigns, along with various combinations of web, email and social media activities. Content marketing become a growing part of duties, with expanding responsibilities for researching and writing frequent and novel content for clients' blogs, social media and email campaigns. Weekly and monthly editorial calendar included everything from short Facebook and Twitter posts, to entire white papers and themed article series. Frequently composed guest columns and blog posts on behalf of clients, or edited copy for those who preferred to write their own pieces. Client mix included B-to-B and B-to-C in a range of industries, including retail, restaurant, pet industry, industrial and scientific/technical.

Served as in-house liaison between consultancy and large nonprofit client, assessing, planning and executing fundraising activities. These included annual giving, events, capital and endowment campaigns. Also wrote many grant application for company clients.

As a member of the local team focused on Hallmark Cards' one-to-one, data-driven, loyalty program, worked closely with the client to produce frequent direct mailings, from product selection, to copy writing, to photo shoots.

Worked within a small team and across school departments to coordinate regular communications with a number of constituencies. These included current parents, alumni, parents of alumni, faculty and staff, and donors. Created new monthly print newsletter program, new annual report format, annual fundraising collateral and materials for a capital campaign. These communications efforts resulted in strong enrollment growth and improved retention, as well as successful annual and capital campaigns that surpassed former funding totals. Our team exceeded target numbers for enrollment, retention and fundraising each year.Served on committee that assessed, chose and worked with a new website development company that eventually transformed the school's entire portfolio of digital communications and data sharing. Became very involved in the life and culture of the school community, attending many events and serving as assistant coach for the school's track team.

Collaborated on account service team that provided strategy and execution of marketing campaigns for several animal health companies serving both the veterinary and consumer markets. Gained experience with traditional agency workflow and traffic systems, facilitated communication between creative team and client teams, worked with photographers and creative rights management. Served on team to that grew top pet health insurance provider to market prominence, as well as helped launch companion animal health products in the veterinary market though trade media placement and strategic trade show programs.
