NEN is the Netherlands Standardization Institute offering international, European and national standardization. NEN enables relevant stakeholders to meet and ensures that consensus is reached on the subject. NEN also functions as an intermediary between standardization and certification. -Secretary to the Dutch Technical Committee on Health Informatics. Responsible for the development, maintenance and use of various standards on Information security, privacy and data protection in the healthcare sector. Like the Dutch standards NEN 7510 (information security for healthcare organisations), NTA 7516 (secure e-mail & chat in healthcare), NEN 7513 (Logging of electronic health records), and international standards like IEC/ISO 27001, IEC/ISO 27701, ISO 27799, ISO 27789. -Consultancy services on the development, management and use of health care standards to achieve interoperability across organizations and between electronic health record (EHR) systems.-Internal (NEN) Privacy coordinator, initiating and coordinating the various activities within NEN to comply with GDPR demands.-Consulting on various issues within the Energy sector relating to the Energy Efficiency Directive, the use different forms of biomass and the measurement of biobased content of products. NEN has been admitted as scheme administrator by the (Dutch) Council of accreditation (RvA). The RvA role is to regulate the activities of scheme administrators. Organizations that want to follow those regulations can be tested through RvA for approval. NEN has schemes and registers on various topics.

Providing advice to players in the wood pellet industry - or to players wishing to enter or exit the industry.

Responsible for managing operations of a solid biomass trading company, which managed shipping for around 3,000 containers per year. My role was extremely varied and involved leading and managing a team to deliver a highly effective supply chain operation, managing multiple supplier relationships, negotiating terms and agreements, setting up contracts, analyzing and mitigating financial risks and overseeing international debt collection. In collaboration with the managing director, I designed and executed effective operational strategies and implemented new processes and procedures to facilitate continuous improvement and drive performance across all areas of the business. • Improved operational efficiency and reduced financial risk through the design and implementation of an innovative order and delivery management process, which connected American and Eastern European logistical service providers with French and Italian customers;• Increased financial transactions from 900 in 2012 to 3,000 in 2014 by implementing the strategic decision to focus on large retail customers and distributors instead of power utility companies;• Sourced and contracted factoring company to increase cash flow;• Implemented credit control procedure, which significantly reduced outstanding debt and reduced credit risks;• Reduced freight charges through identifying and securing contract with high quality freight forwarding company.

I had three major roles whilst working for Inter Access with varied responsibilities, including managing business and organizational aspects of multiple projects, implementing user-orientated ICT systems within trade, health and government organizations, managing departments and devising and implementing effective information strategies.Key projects included developing and implementing a new organizational structure for government departments, supervising an office relocation, creating and implementing new procedures for transition from project organization to standing ICT department and identifying suitable CRM, CMS and case management systems for various businesses.

This was another varied role where I managed numerous redesign projects within the Billing and Collection department, implemented procedural changes when the Euro was introduced into the Netherlands and provided consultation services on ICT alignment projects. • Increased departmental efficiency through the redesign of business processes;• Reduced credit risks and improved cash flow via implementation of an information exchange process between internal departments and external debt collection companies;• Set up agreement with new debt collection firm, which reduced costs and provided a value added service;• Implemented connection to an external database with reliable data on the insurance status of customers and improved the claim handling process.
