After attaining growth, skill, and experience through a variety of employment experiences, Karson began an independent private practice in February 2010, K2 Counseling & Consulting, LLC. K2 Counseling focuses on assisting client to overcome obstacles in life whether they be mental health disorders, or simply desires for personal improvement. K2 Counseling features multiple therapists to truly meet the needs of clients. K2 Counseling features LPC, LCSW, and LMFT clinicians who specialize in differing treatment modalities and expertise to assist people of all age, ethnicity, or treatment need. We accept most major insurances, private pay, clergy/other assisted payment, and can explore other payment options as well.

As part of private practice (K2 Counseling & Consulting,LLC), Karson returned to a past employer, the Family Enrichment Center, in a different capacity. K2 Counseling & Consulting is the Mental Health Consultant for the Early Childhood Programs (Head Start & Early Head Start) served by the Family Enrichment Center. Karson and some of his team serve to provide observations, assessments, consultation, and creation of behavioral plans to assist children who are struggling with mental health issues, or behavioral problems in their classrooms.

Karson was mentored by Larry A. Anderson, LPC founder of All Ages & Life Stages Counseling, LLC during completion of his graduate program. Larry invited Karson to join him in his private practice. Larry has been an instrumental help, and friend to Karson in the process of professional growth. Karson practices 1 1/2 days per week from the AALS location.
