- Initiated and led multi-repo CI pipeline project for backend services in their own repositories. Designed pipeline architecture that is appendable by other platform team’s CI Job. Provided CI jobs that build backend services. Created CLI to make build steps unit-testable. As a result, the CI pipeline takes on average 5 mins which is 3x faster than CI pipeline in monorepo. The adoption rate is 84% which is 21 out of 25 for new go services.- Improved CI framework for Go services in monorepo. Reduced 17% total build time per day(62.4 hours/day). Provided better readability in CI logging to allow users diagnose and resolve build failures faster. Added monitoring and alerts to detect any CI framework issues.- Improved GitLab server load capacity with collaboration with Server team. Removed unused git objects and optimized scheduled CI jobs, resulting in reduced total build time from 32.49 hours to 25.77 hours(-20.68%) per day, which saves cost around $996.72/year.- Optimized GitLab CI Runner workflow by automating CI runner AMI rotation. Identified and removed underutilized resources, resulting in an annual cost savings of $51,110. Added monitoring and alerts to detect any runner issues. Provided documentation and oncall’s runbook for manual rotation and troubleshooting
