He is experienced in the management of large international private and donor financed projects on technical and economic issues, in particular for promoting Renewable Energies and Energy Efficiency. Karsten Ley has expertise in the fields of energy supply systems and its applications. He developed a sound and comprehensive technical, commercial and financial understanding of and expertise in power plant engineering, contract negotiating, preparing of EPC contracts, environmental impact assessment and permit procedures. He has managed and executed several projects for the implementation of solar power plants (photovoltaic and solar thermal power) in Africa and Asia.
