Karsten Schuhl is a designer and researcher with an encompassing approach to spatial and experience design. His design methodology and project management expertise allow him to blend physical media, perceptual principles, and digital processes to create impactful and innovative designs. He is known for his collaborative approach and attention to detail, ensuring his projects’ highest quality and conceptual integrity. His work focuses on multi-sensory experiences, precision manufacturing, and engaging audiences in spatial and experimental settings and processes.Recently, Karsten has been researching spatial illusions in audio and sonic architectures at the MIT Media Lab and Anhalt University of Applied Sciences. He develops physical prototypes of sonic environments, widening the boundaries of acoustic perception and material-based design. He is dedicated to advancing design and translating complex theories into tangible applications.
