Field Diesel Generator Troubleshooting, Maintenance and service

Responsible to maintenance and customer onsite service the Diesel generator

Responsible for the team performing major activities such as removal, repair and reinstallation of mechanical machinery’s in Dry Docked vessel’s • Supervising the Overhauling/Commissioning of Main engines, Auxiliary engines. ( Deutz -BV6M540,6M628, BAM816 , Volvo Penta D6-280, Caterpillar -3406, 3412, 3516B, Cummins-KTA50M2, KTA38M2, NTA855, 6BT5.9M, Yanmar- T260A-ET, 6N18ALV, MAN B&W- 6L35MC)-Involved the complete activities during the engine overhauling such as removing engine parts, bringing them to workshop, cleaning ,pressure testing, NDT, Calibration, refit, load testing, performance check during sea trails..etc.• Supervising of Shafting.-Involved in Propeller Shaft repair works i.e.; include removal of Propeller Shaft, cleaning, calibration, sighting and refit.• Involved in overhauling of different types of Pumps, (ei.,screw pumps, centrifugal pumps, multi stage pump, gear pump)• Supervising the overhauling of major Valves such as Globe, Gate, Butterfly quick close valves...etc. • Supervising the overhauling of different system Pipes. Renewal and modification of pipe lines and valves• Participate the overhauling process of Rudder, Air compressor, Winch, Windlass. Etc.,• Supervising to Overhauling and pressure testing the Heat exchanger and coolers.• Read & understand P&IDs, Equipment Drawings & vendor• Supervising Non-destructive tests on machinery parts

• Operation and Maintenance of Diesel power plant DEUTZ make (Model BV16M640- Capacity 6.2MW×4), DEUTZ make (Model BV8M540 Capacity 3.0MW×6), MTU (12V4000G23-Capacity 1.2×5)• Cummins KTTA50G2 (1MW×8), KTA50G3 (1MW×4) Also KTA50G8, KTA19, VTA28, NTA855, CAT 3304, 3406, 3412 3508, 3512B, 3516B.• Periodically Maintenance of utility of diesel generator PM planning and Scheduling,• To handle Scheduling of Mechanical Maintenance Servicing of Diesel Generator and its Static Auxiliaries.• To handle Dismantle & Assemble of engine parts such as Cylinder head, piston, con Rod, Liner, main bearings, Injector, fuel pump, Main seals &etc. with Auxiliaries equipment• Inspection of Top and Major overhauling of Diesel generators and its Static Auxiliaries.• Inspection, service and overhauling of Turbochargers and ABB-VTR Turbochargers.• Understand and analyze the cause of failure; implement best practices specific to root cause analysis and recommending corrective action to deals with abnormal• Supporting for Field service of Other plant for emergency and Breakdown works• Ability to manage and control spares inventory• Material& spares arrangement prior to shutdown, Reviewing of critical spares and maintain the inventory at safe level all time • Minimize plant breakdown time• Ability to provide daily task with safe work environment and HSE• Documentation of PMS/Top and Major Overhauling as found defect and gathering the alignment record• Periodically inspect condition of engine controls and parameter devices • Conducted daily toolbox talk and weekly HSE meetings• Preparing daily weekly and monthly (power generation, fuel and oil consumption)• Responsible of plant HSE, inspection and updating monthly HSE Related files• Inspection and maintenance of firefighting Equipment’s on grid station(Hydrant, Diesel Pumps(John Deer, Caterpillar, Deutz) Electrical pump, jockey pump with their control panel and adjusting pressure switches, sprinkler systems and pipe lines valves

• Responsible for maintenance and repairs on all generators and diesel engines Serviced generators from 325KVA up to 1010KVA. (Caterpillar3406, 3508, 3512, C32, C18).• Performed maintenance and repairs on diesel engines,• Handle the responsibilities of carrying out scheduled routine maintenance. • Responsible for providing lists of spare parts for diesel engines, control panels and required tools• Perform the tasks of carry out emergency repairs of generators• Responsible for ensuring the use of spare parts in most effective and productive manner • Handle the responsibilities of maintaining logs, records and various files related to technical information• Responsible for maintaining preventive measures on the diesel power generators as well as its associated components like cooling, lubrication and fuel systems,• Responsible for installation and commissioning of new DG’s and control panel• Responsible of preparing daily, Weekly and monthly progress report• Responsible of preparing weekly and monthly power costing reports• Operating knowledge of Scada and PLC, EMCP, CAT ET Systems.

• Handle the responsibilities of carrying out scheduled routine maintenance such as observing refueling of gear box, valve, rolls, motors and pumps in plant.• Responsible for providing lists of spare parts for the above equipment’s.• Revised CAD drawings for as-built status.• Responsible for motor, pump, rolls pulley, bed correct alignments.• Rotary and Static equipment service and maintained.• Time to time maintenance change bearing, gear boxes and Rollers.• Arrangement for suitable pipes and valves.• Maintaining log books on all repair and maintenance activities.• Making sure all safety precautions are taken.• Supervising the smooth operation of the company manufacturing plants.• Do Plant and machine showdown works • Responsible for Maintenance of Water tube boiler(2.3MW) feeding pump, pipe line, valve, ID and FD Fan• Responsible for Maintenance of Diesel generators
