Karthik is the Founder and CEO of Witmer Health Technologies, a Bengaluru-based health tech startup focused on mental health. Founded by three people united by a shared passion for mental health, Witmer focuses on developing solutions using AI, big data and neuroscience to help people harness the full potential of their minds and lead happy, productive lives. The company recently launched its first product, the mind-n, a mental productivity platform custom-built for business-critical roles in high-performance companies. The company hopes to transform into an R&D company in the next five years, to work on solving some of the toughest problems in mental healthThis is Karthik’s first stint as an entrepreneur. Before taking this plunge, Karthik spent 23 years working in various multinational and Indian companies. In his last corporate role, Karthik was the CEO of Deccan Herald, one of India’s leading print and digital media companies. Before joining the media industry, Karthik spent ~9 years with the Mahindra Group in Mumbai. In his last role with the group, he was the Vice President of Marketing, tasked with making “Mahindra” a strong global brand. Prior to joining Mahindra, Karthik spent ~11 years in Sales and Marketing roles in companies like Monsanto, Lafarge and Dabur Ayurvet. He has led large teams and worked in diverse markets across India in B2C and B2B sales in both, domestic and export markets. He has an impressive roster of achievements and awards in his stint with all these companies.Karthik brings deep sales, marketing, strategy and operations experience into his entrepreneurial venture. His strengths lie in strategy formulation, building high-performing teams, executing large, complex projects, launching new products, driving revenue growth, building brands and delivering digital makeovers.Karthik has a degree in Agricultural Sciences from UAS, Bangalore and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Management from IIM Ahmedabad.
