I was able to successfully deliver two projects within this span.As part of the first I developed a generic REST client in java, that could be used to interact with any web based API exposed within the firm. This helped reduce the team’s dependency on legacy SOAP based services and embrace the benefits which the REST architecture provided. This was a significant learning experience for me as I was new to both Java and the concept of web based services.The second involved performing network analysis in order to ascertain how much of load different data servers had to handle and allocate compute resources accordingly. I primarily worked on coming up with a proof of concept for the tool that would best suit this purpose. This involved researching and learning about various packet capture C libraries and Linux utilities.
