I am Karthik, a product manager by profession and an ownership-driven, curious learner with a heart of high optimism and persistance. Since childhood, I have been fascinated by the role of film director. While every cast and crew member contributes their expertise, the director collaborates to consume feedback and consistently takes ownership of the movie's purpose, vision, and outcome. I am delighted I can fulfill similar responsibilities full-time as a Product Manager and deliver valuable and lasting products for users and businesses! As an undergraduate, I built pet projects powered by robots and AI/ML (Data Science and Computer Vision) for fun. I enjoyed automating each output and observing value in real-life implementation. Taking this data obsession forward, I debuted as a Data Engineer and realized my passion for product management with user obsession, high ownership to solve right problems, and strategic thinking.During Razorpay's high growth phase to India's largest Fintech, I worked on over 5 distinct products. This role exposed me to India's world-class Payment infrastructure, Risk capabilities, B2C payments, and Checkout products. During my tenure, I embraced challenges and learnings, contributing to a 7X growth in the firm's valuation and a 10X growth in team count. I joined Tide Banking as a product manager to augment my international expertise in Onboarding Growth and Risk. This position exposed me to the European market's regulations, user behavior, and challenges.At PayPal, I led a personalization strategy for commerce products (Buyer Profile Product). My product would solve shopping discovery for consumers, preferences portability, and shopping preferences privacy problems redefining the shopping experience for consumers and Sellers (2025 release).I received 2 awards for Proactive Ownership, Resilience with high curiosity, User Obsession, and Strong stakeholder management skills. I take pride in delivering products with minimal gaps by handling constraints and building trust among stakeholders and users. Outside work, I enjoy playing badminton, cycling, trekking, traveling, cooking, and discussing international relations.
