ITC- AUT Induction (Cigarette Branding and Supply Chain) Jul 1st – Jan’15• Received training witnessed manufacturing strategies, Best practices, Quality Compliance in factories and role of non-core support verticals to manufacturing.• Training at ITD factories (Pune, SRE, Munger, Kidderpore and BLR), marketing division in Bangalore, Toyota & ITC-Personal care facility. • Projects: o Benchmarked WMS waste between two manufacturing lines of different pack-style SKUs across factories in ITD. Proposed solutions to bring the WMS waste of 10-BE (Bevel edged packet) line to 0.8% from 2.2%. Identified logic of blank Inhibition and formulated sustenance plans without labor incentive compromise. o Studied OEM/In-house wrapping machines. Implemented solutions to eliminate Tear-of-ribbon ineffective in round-cornered packets. Presented roadmap for a design imitation from another technology to eliminate the defect. o Worked on a team project to improve the process capability index (CPk) of moisture drops across the primary manufacturing facility in the cigarette factory. Implemented design and PID logic changes in two machines to improve the sigma level of the moisture drop that was occurring across these machines. o Submitted a Pro-E design for a semi-automatic cigarette box splitter machine to recover cigarettes from damaged packs. Provided another design to decrease labour fatigue in the Shaker-feeder unit.ITD Dairy Jan 15th – Apr’15• Coordinated between independent software development vendors for the integration of SAP and Automated weighbridge application.
