Spearheading teams of BI professionals & Data engineers to modernise NewsUK's data platforms and enable data driven business growth and revenue. Most recent achievement is securing and completing a £2M Data Platform Transformation and Modernisation Program to move entirely to Google Cloud Platform (reference my blog post below on the transformation journey) to enable the business to be future ready with data.

I specialise in design and implementation of enterprise grade BI/data engineering with focus on BI implementations for commercial business teams using modern cloud based BI/data tools & technologies.This goes hand in hand with my experience of managing a global team of BI Developers & Data Engineers (15+) across London, Manila & Bangalore. I have helped set up the offshore team from scratch in Bangalore in a Build, Operate, Transfer model in this capacity.I have a strong stakeholder management experience at all levels including managing directors & board members that stems from a deep understanding of business processes, role of data & insights and ability to distill technical information to business owners.2017 - I was accountable for and led the RFP process, system design, data modeling, and implementation of a data reporting & analytics system (Using Redshift, AWS and Qlik) for the B2B business at FT for 200+ CRM, CSM and Marketing users. The solution integrates data from web analytics, Salesforce and multiple API/Queue based source systems to deliver a self-service platform capable of delivering key business data and KPI's for discovering new business, renewals & upselling contracts that contributed towards £6m profits for B2B this year.

I currently work in the Data Technology team at FT, providing business intelligence to FT's B2B and B2C subscription business and Advertising division to generate revenue through subscriptions and ads using cutting edge technologies like Amazon Redshift and Birst Reporting.My work includes understanding business needs, design, development and delivery of variety of BI solutions involving extraction, integration and self-service reporting by blending together more than 50+ sources like complex Web logs data, CRM, Identity management, subscriptions data etc. Business deliverables range from data sets and data feeds driven off complex queries to providing visual reporting, auditable KPI's, and analytical platforms like cubes & interactive data portals.Technologies I work with include, but not limited to, T and postgresSQL, Amazon Redshift (dev and admin), SSAS, Birst (designer and admin), Python/XML based ETLframework.Currently pursuing components of data science, machine learning and social analytics..
