-Responsible for pre-installation inspection, on-site installation, and testing of equipment.-Educate customer about the equipment usage and maintenance.-Providing technical support to customers by phone and online support.-Identify problems and record solutions for reference purposes.-Investigating and troubleshooting equipment service issues.-Coordinate with various teams to fix product issues.-Manage all administrative operations including preparation of quotations, purchase orders, time sheets, expense sheets, etc.

-Assumes the primary technical relationship with the customer.- Providing pre-sales technical assistance and product knowledge.-Perform on-site installation, qualification, and validation of Thin film processing and analytical systems.-Schedules and delivers preventative maintenance service.-Performs technical diagnosis of operational problems and repairs/calibrations of equipment.-In addition to training end users, serves as a source of technical product knowledge and trains, asrequired, other service engineers and provides supervision as required in the course of this duty.-Promotes various types of extended warranty and preventative maintenance contracts on equipment, user training, and Service Replacement Orders.

This project was funded by National Science Foundation (NSF) and Department of Energy (US-DoE). Main objective of this project was to develop thin film photovoltaics with reduced cost of production and increase in total solar cell efficiency. Area of focus was towards research and development of flexible substrate based CdTe/CdS solar cells. Efficiency of 7.8% was achieved, which is one of the highest in flexible substrate based CdTe/CdS solar cells.Responsibilities:•Major role as research assistant involved development and implementation of the component layers for performance improvements of substrate based CdTe/CdS thin film solar cells.•Analyze all technical functionality related to development of flexible substrate based solar cells.•Developed technical specifications for various fabrication processes. Specifications are made according to requirement.•Optimization of processing conditions, calibration of the process equipment and maintenance of the fabrication process equipment.•Fabrication involving different processes including Sputtering systems (RF and dc), Close Space Sublimation (CSS), Chemical Bath Deposition (CBD), Vapor Deposition methods.•Characterization: J-V measurements, Spectral Response measurement, C-V measurement, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), X-ray Diffraction (XRD), Profilometry measurement, Four-point Measurement.•Planning and execution of modifications of the existing procedures from superstrate structure to substrate structure configuration of CdTe/CdS solar cells.•Operation and maintenance of machines used for fabrication of Photovoltaic cells, such as Cryo pumps, Diffusion pumps, Sputtering Systems (RF and DC), MOCVD Chambers, CSS Chambers.•Identification and monitoring of the critical operations•Actively involved in knowledge transfer of fabrication processes, conducting training sessions for equipment operation and maintenance to other members of the group.
