QFD approach in the development of university-industry (UI) interaction design for intensifying the university-industry collaboration in Malaysia The purpose of this study is to define and develop the criteria of Universiti-Industry (UI) interactions from university-industry linkages in Malaysia that gives the best impact to SME Malaysia in achieving high productivity towards contributing to the economy of Malaysian industry. The definition of the criteria will be based on the ‘voice of customer’ from SME focusing on areas of economy, social, productivity driven and environmental issues and the UI interaction design will be based on different value creation principles. The developed UI interaction design will be tested on different industry sectors and different universities in search of the common success factor for UI interactions in SME Malaysia.
