My pronouns are she/her, and you may also call me Karin. I strive to bring positive change, driven by a passion for social inclusion and innovation, guided by life's purpose of "leaving this world a little better than I found it." Currently, I lead capacity development partnerships, nurture stakeholder relations, and serve as Gender & Inclusion Coordinator with a focus on the Asia regions. As Programme Manager, heading the programmatic team is more than a role; it’s a mission to foster inclusive development and sustainable collaborations. With over 15 years’ experience in international development and non-profit management, I am dedicated to fostering an inclusive world that values diversity and upholds human rights. Over the past 8+ years, I have refined my skills at the intersection of business and human rights, aligning my work with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. My contributions extend to enhancing UK-Indonesia relations and advancing social justice, socio-economic cohesion, efforts across ASEAN and the Asia Pacific region. I occasionally write about relevant developments on Indonesia. As a qualified Project Manager and a professional in facilitating empowerment through capacity development projects and cultural relations, I excel in collaborative efforts across both virtual and real-world contexts. I am adept at working in challenging conditions, including those affected by natural disasters. In a world where some areas are closing their doors, being a global citizen with a common-sense outlook and respect for local wisdom is more important than ever. My versatility is enhanced by my love for travel, and the 🌎. I've often stepped outside my comfort zone, exploring ecotourism and embracing ethical, sustainable travel practices. Proficient in English plus working experience in French and Spanish, my work has taken me to countries beyond Indonesia, including Australia, Cambodia, China, England, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Scotland, Taiwan, Thailand, Wales, and Vietnam. Let's connect for advancing social justice and shaping social impact. I'm always open to knowledge sharing and insightful conversations ✨ — whether online, over a cuppa or, even better, on a trekking route!
