About My Role:In my role at CSIRO's Data61, within the Distributed Systems Security group, I am at the forefront of addressing the complex challenges arising from the integration of Consumer Energy Resources (CER) into the existing grid and IoT environments. My work is pivotal in developing comprehensive strategies to safeguard these systems against evolving cybersecurity threats, particularly in shared network scenarios.Key Responsibilities:+ Research and Innovation in CER Security: Leading research efforts to understand and address the unique data and security challenges associated with integrating CER into the existing grid and IoT infrastructures.+ Development of Cybersecurity Strategies: Crafting comprehensive cybersecurity strategies to protect CER systems.+ Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing: Working closely with a team of specialized researchers and industry experts to develop and implement these strategies.+ Analytical Problem-Solving: Employing advanced analytical skills to dissect complex problems in CER integration.+ Technological Implementation: Applying theoretical research in practical settings, testing and refining security solutions.+ Continuous Learning and Adaptation: Staying abreast of the latest developments in distributed systems, cybersecurity, and energy resource management.

Role & Responsibilities:* Research: Conducting advanced independent research in “Blockchain-base decentralised management of distributed energy resource in smart grids”. Aiming to publish findings in top-tier conferences and journals.* Mentorship: Providing guidance and mentorship to graduate students and assisting in the supervision of research projects.* Funding: Collaborating on grant proposals to secure external research funding and fostering research partnerships.* Community Engagement: Participating in international seminars, workshops, and conferences to represent UNSW CSE and its research contributions.* Administrative: Assisting in the organization of departmental seminars, workshops, and other academic events.

Key Roles:+      Conduct in-depth analysis of blockchain-based Voluntary Carbon Standards (VCS) to assess key features, benefits, and research challenges.+      Evaluate the potential of blockchain-based VCS in addressing issues of transparency, security, privacy, and quality control compared to conventional VCS.+      Assist in planning and executing research activities, including literature reviews, data collection, and analysis.+      Contribute to the development of research outputs, such as academic papers, technical reports, and presentations.+      Collaborate with team members to identify research opportunities and future directions for blockchain-based VCS.+      Present research findings to internal and external stakeholders.

Key Roles:+      Investigating and proposing the incorporation of blockchain technology into the Smart Building Data Clearing House project.+      Collaborating with CSIRO to examine the application of blockchain for improving project decentralization, security, privacy, and transparency.+      Conducting comprehensive literature reviews and performing data analysis to gather insights for research proposals and recommendations.+      Delivering presentations to share research findings and progress with the academic and professional community.+      Assisting in the development of research outputs, such as academic papers and technical reports.

Research and Development Roles:– Contributed to various research projects where blockchain was the underpinning technology, including supplychain, education, healthcare, agriculture, water credits, etc.– Developed and implemented blockchain-based solutions using Hyperledger Fabric and evaluated theperformance and scalability of these solutions.– Conducted research on consensus algorithms, smart contracts, and security in blockchain-based systems.– Worked collaboratively with researchers and developers to design, develop, and deploy blockchain-basedapplications and systems.– Contributed to the development of research outputs, including academic papers, technical reports and patents.– Presented research findings at academic conferences and seminars.

My responsibilities included:- Projects management- Mobile applications development, mostly iOS- App stores maintenance and management.- Training new developers- Mapping user requirements and business problems into a project.
