I am a third-year chemical engineering student with an extensive passion for chemistry, and I yearn to apply designing, conceptual, and laboratory skills in the public sector. My four-month research experience at the University of Toronto in engineering genetic biosensors for adipic acid as well as my project experience in chemical experiments has given me a wide range and diverse skillset in bioengineering, project management, chemical processing and research. The exposure to various learnings and technical experiments gave me insight on various fields including chemical processing, bioengineering, environmental consulting and water quality treatment.I have an enriched programming experience in Python, specifically applying NumPy, Scikit-learn and Biopython in protein mapping and machine learning algorithms. I can proficiently use Microsoft Project to organize and develop project plans for long term projects, and I can utilize Excel in various chemical engineering, financial calculation problems and CAPEX for engineering projects. My experience in Aspen simulation, specifically Aspen Plus, Aspen HYSYS and Aspen Dynamics, allows me to model simple and complex chemical processes in industry. Ultimately, my mentality and grit define me and sets me apart, and I hope to demonstrate my attributes in my new experiences.
