I’m a lifelong Arkansan from Bismarck, Arkansas, and an advocate for students with special needs. My teaching journey began at Bismarck School District after earning my Early Childhood degree from Henderson State University. Over the years, I taught kindergarten and first grade, becoming a model classroom for the Reading First program.A transformative moment came when my daughter Madison was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, inspiring me to focus on teaching students with disabilities. I then joined Bryant School District as a special educator and later became a private consultant for special education programs statewide.In 2018, I became the director of Easterseals Academy, a private K-12 school in Little Rock for students with special needs, which has since seen significant growth. I hold two master's degrees from Henderson State University in Advanced Instructional Studies and Special Education.As an adjunct professor, I've taught classes for therapists and educators, and conducted various special education training sessions for parents, educators, and administrators. I'm dedicated to advocating for individuals with disabilities and have spoken at state congressional hearings.My work is more than just a job; it's my passion, fueled by my love for my daughter. I'm committed to creating a world where Madison and others like her experience happiness, safety, and unwavering support.
