About Karyn Mcrae

After working 2 years full-time for a large Architectural and Interior Design firm on the North side (whilst studying Architectural drafting part-time) I pursued my goal of becoming an Interior designer and took up full-time studies at the ‘Design Centre Enmore’, graduating with an advanced Diploma of Fine Arts (Interior Design)On graduation I worked with another Sydney based Architectural firm completing projects for Drummoyne RSL Club, Gosford RSL Club, various McDonalds stores and large residential projects giving me a great skill set to then start my own design firm with my business partner of over 20 years Helen Lynch.I am an experienced Director with a demonstrated history of working in the construction industry. I am skilled in Archicad, Negotiation, Project Estimation, Construction, and Contract Management. I am a qualified professional with an Advanced Diploma of Arts in Interior Design & Drafting from Sydney Institute of Technology Enmore design centre.

    As a junior designer at Hosking Munro I worked alongside the head Architect on a variety of projects from pubs and clubs such as the Toxteth Hotel and Drummoyne RSL Club to 50 odd McDonalds store fit outs. I was fortunate enough to be thrown in the deep end as a young graduate and given a lot of responsibility with projects and clients. I also detailed joinery, kitchens and bathrooms for their residential projects. The responsibility and experience in the end gave me the confidence to start my own business.
