I am the Supervisor of Indoor Recreation Programs with Strathcona County. I am excited to be back in recreation and working with a strong team. I direct all aspects of indoor recreation service programs including swimming, sport and leisure, education, play and wellness, and the related systems, procedures, and processes. I have successfully completed the Master of Arts of Community Development (MACD) Program at the University of Victoria. I concurrently finished the Graduate Certificate in Evaluation as well from the University of Victoria. I will be starting the Master in Leadership program at Royal Roads University in December 2024. From October 2018 to May 2022, I was a Community Developer at the City of Spruce Grove in the Community Social Development (CSD) Department. I work on portfolios in Neighbourhood Development, Reconciliation, Poverty & Homelessness, and others. In 2018, I completed a term position with the City of St. Albert as a Community Recreation Coordinator. In this position, I supported 25 recreation organizations that serve the City of St. Albert. I supported them with organizational development, leadership development, capital projects, grant writing, and more. I also worked on the City Playground Life Cycle and other capital projects.For three years I worked at the Town of Bon Accord as the Community Services Manager. This role contained Family and Community Support Services, Recreation, and Community Enhancement. I organized and coordinated a variety of events. I offered community development support to the community organizations that serve Bon Accord.
