"A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects." Robert A. Heinlein, Time Enough for LoveWhile I do not put myself on the same level as Leonardo (da Vinci or diCaprio) and Michelangelo (artist or Ninja Turtle), I can do most of the things listed by Robert A. Heinlein and in that sense do consider myself a Renaissance type woman. How does all of this translate into business? A true polymath uses their complex bodies of knowledge to solve problems and I am an imaginative problem solver. I have an unquenchable thirst for new information and am constantly expanding my repertoire. Being artistic and philanthropic are also traits of Renaissance men and women as well as myself. I have a strong Midwestern work ethic and am willing to pitch in whenever called upon to do so (if I have not already volunteered, that is). I am discreet and trustworthy with a keen sense of civic responsibility. Most importantly, I have a deep-seated ethical streak so I only work for companies/causes that I can believe in. If I am going to associate my name with you, it has to be something I have faith in. Ask any one of my former bosses and every one will say that you will be hard pressed to find a more loyal employee. (Although, I will not be as loyal as the Harley-Davidson customers that Warren Buffet refers to when he said, “Any company that gets its customers to tattoo ads on their chests can't be all bad."!!!)I look forward to adding more pages to my life’s book of knowledge and would love to discuss with you how we can best work together.
